| Victory Over Orphans Takes West Virginia to 6-4 | The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws beat the Cambridge Orphans, 7-3, at Penlee Park. The Dancin' Outlaws got a fine performance from first baseman Juan del Cid, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. The Orphans fall to 3-6 and continue their wobbly start to the 2038 season.
Alex Guevara helped out the West Virginia cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," del Cid told the West Virginia News.
