| 6-4 Win by Hornets Continues Hot Start | The Bethesda Hornets grabbed a 6-4 win over the Bel Air Princes at Philip Banks Field. Bethesda designated hitter Ryoji Nakai was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Jose Galaviz, who threw 92 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits. Allen Westmoreland finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from left fielder Steve Durrett. For the game, Durrett went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Bethesda a 2-0 lead.
