| Gnats Solve Warriors, 6-3 | The Nichols Gnats topped the Winfield Warriors, 6-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Pond. The player of the game was Nichols pitcher Gary Harrison. Nichols reliever Kyle Johnson was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jonathan Gilberds took the loss. Gabe George recorded his 2nd save for Nichols.
The Gnats got a big at-bat from first baseman Bryan McGregor. For the game, McGregor went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 6th hit of the season gave Nichols a 1-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort," said Harrison after the game.
The Gnats, now 4-2, have been on a roll in the early going.
