Thompson, Crosscutters Get 2-0 Win

The Williamsport Crosscutters topped the San Angelo Mustangs, 2-0, in Lyman Bostock League action at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. The player of the game was Williamsport pitcher Shawn Thompson. The Crosscutters are off to a tough start, getting just their 3rd win in 8 games.

Thompson, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Crosscutters. For the most part, San Angelo hitters were simply overmatched.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Thompson.
