| Warriors Win at New Orleans, 7-4 | Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Pat Hope, the Winfield Warriors defeated the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 7-4. Hope was 2-3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Warriors. Danny Lopes, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 1-0. Brian Claphan earned the save, his 2nd.
Winfield first baseman Jesus Navarro contributed to the cause with a single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Navarro was 2-4 with 2 singles.
