Nateras hits 1st home run, Princes Move to 4-1

Mario Nateras was instrumental in his team's 10-6 triumph over the Houston Sting. The catcher went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Bel Air Princes. Bel Air reliever Naotake Nakamura was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Dave Lopez. The Princes, now 4-1, have been on a roll in the early going.

Nateras had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Dave Lopez, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Princes a 7-5 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Nateras.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Nateras told the Bel Air Gazette.
