| Orphans Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Bush Wackers | Tristan Soreni pitched a gem to lead Cambridge to a 2-1 victory over the Brisbane Bush Wackers. Cambridge reliever Rusty Tine picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Zaire Small was saddled with the loss. The win takes Cambridge to 3-2.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Cambridge third baseman Edwin Estrada, facing Zaire Small, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Orphans the 2-1 win.
"I like what I saw today," said Cambridge manager Fernando Padilla, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
