| Earthquakes Turn Back Las Vegas, 2-0 | The Earthquakes had to overcome a fine effort from Las Vegas pitcher Felipe Baez to grab a narrow 2-0 win at Sin City Stadium. Baez went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Kyle Larson got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The Earthquakes bumped their record to 25-23 with this latest triumph.
It could have been a different outcome for San Francisco, had it not been for Aidan Turgoose, the two-time Gold Glove Award winner . Turgoose contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put San Francisco up, 1-0.
