| Hornets Continue Hot Start to Season With Win | Spirited fans at Prefontaine Park greeted the Eugene Emeralds for their clash with the Bethesda Hornets.
Bethesda designated hitter Ryoji Nakai had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Eugene Emeralds, 8-2. Eric Sauer picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 1-0. Nolan Ryan Jr. earned the save, his 1st.
It could have been a different outcome for Bethesda, had it not been for Alex Armijo, the 23-year old center fielder . Armijo contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Bethesda up, 4-1.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Nakai.
The Hornets raised their record to 4-2.
