| Republic Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Maple | The So Cal Republic racked up a win at House of the Republic, bumping off the Maple Marauders, 6-3. Khurshid Durrani, who started for So Cal, pitched effectively for his team. Durrani picked up the win for So Cal, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4. The Republic improve their record to 31-20 with the win over Maple.
Kazuyoshi Takahashi had a big 2-run single for the Republic in the bottom of the second inning. With So Cal leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Dave Hamm and stroked the single to center. It was his 15th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Republic ahead, 3-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Durrani.
