| Mustangs Turn Back Victoria, 4-2 | The San Angelo Mustangs got a stellar performance from pitcher Mike Ramirez, who handcuffed the Victoria offense en route to a 4-2 win at The drakkar. Ramirez went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. Hiroki Saito picked up the save for San Angelo, his 2nd of the year.
Jay Rykhus aided the San Angelo cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Rykhus said after the game.
