| Road Warriors Get Close Win Over Princes | The Road Warriors had to overcome a fine effort from Bel Air pitcher Max Hageman to grab a narrow 2-1 win at Philip Banks Field. Hageman went 6.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Reliever Nick Lenza picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Derek Rolf took the loss. Westside has a record of 1-1.
The Road Warriors got a big at-bat from center fielder Pat Layman. For the game, Layman was 1-2 with 2 walks. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Westside a 2-1 lead.
