| Warriors Get Past Williamsport for 5-4 Win | The Winfield Warriors started the 2038 season win an impressive 5-4 win against the Williamsport Crosscutters at The Barn. Tony Cervantes was named player of the game.
The Warriors got a big at-bat from shortstop Manuel Armenta. For the game, Armenta was 2-5 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 2nd hit of the season gave Winfield a 5-4 lead.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Cervantes. "Obviously."
