| Bulldogs Get Road Win, 5-3 | The Spokane Bulldogs racked up a win at The Corn Crib, bumping off the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 5-3. Yuji Murai, who started for Spokane, pitched effectively for his team. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 77-84.
Bobby Bell's at-bat in the top of the third inning was a big one for Spokane. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Spokane leading 2-0, the catcher reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 2 runs.
"I just made my pitches," said Murai, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
