| Armada Get Road Win, 5-1 | The Quebec Armada topped the Rubber City Rhinos, 5-1, in Thurman Munson League action at The Rubber Grounds. The player of the game was Quebec pitcher and San Vicente, Costa Rica native Oscar Cruz. Cruz went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 5-4. José López locked down his 1st save.
The Armada got a big at-bat from first baseman Kichisaburo Tanaka. For the game, Tanaka was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 24th home run of the season gave Quebec a 1-0 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Quebec manager Jorge Morales. "Our pregame was pretty good."
