| Rams Slip Past Boise, 2-1 | The bats were silent much of the day at Basque Block Field. But Bill Sheppard conjured up just enough offense to carry the Rams past the Boise Hawks, 2-1. Sheppard went 3-6 with 3 singles. Frisco reliever Kevin DeFrancisco was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Josh Jackson. The 4th-place Rams improved to 70-86.
Sheppard had a game-changing single in the top of the 12th. On a 1-0 curveball from Andy Ryan, he banged a run-scoring single to left-center, giving the Rams a 2-1 lead. It was the 99th hit of the year for Sheppard.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Sheppard. "I like it."
