| Tune-Ups Stymie Riverside, Take 3-0 Win | The Youngstown Tune-Ups defeated the Riverside Red Bulls, 3-0, in RCLAA action at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, with Youngstown pitcher Steve Politano named player of the game. Politano, now 4-8, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. George Fredrickson got the save, his 1st in 3 chances.
Edwin Nunez chipped in for Youngstown with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
