| Hawks Deal Red Bulls Painful Loss | The Riverside Red Bulls got a superb performance from pitcher Javier Figueroa. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Boise. The Hawks won the game, 2-1. In spite of the loss, Figueroa was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball. Boise now sits at 60-93, while Riverside falls to 85-67.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Boise right fielder Pete Freeman, facing Chotaro Matsuno, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Hawks the 2-1 win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Freeman said.
