| Wolverines Subdue Bradenton, 4-3 | Wichita beat Bradenton at The Field at Bradenton, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to shortstop Benjamin Donahoo, who earned player of the game honors. Eric Watson got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The Wolverines bumped their record to 88-65 with this latest triumph.
Donahoo had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Wolverines went on to win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Bradenton manager Antonio Alejos.
