| Big Day by Morales Ignites Red Bulls Win | The Riverside Red Bulls defeated the Boise Hawks, 8-4, in RCLAA action at Basque Block Field, with Riverside shortstop Alfredo Morales named player of the game. Hidenori Tomita got credit for the win, improving to 7-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. Riverside is now 84-66, 8½ games up in the RCLAA Lou Piniella League.
Morales had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 cutter from Franklin Cadonau, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Red Bulls a 7-4 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Morales.
