| Beehive Edge Mustang, 3-2 | Carson City got a terrific performance from pitcher Tino Gonzalez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Madison Beehive. Madison won the Cowboys Stadium contest, 3-2. Gonzalez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. Kris Richardson, credited with the save, is now 26 for 32 in save opportunities. The 5th-place Beehive lifted their record to 70-79.
Brad Minson made it 3-2, Madison, in the top of the eighth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Beehive win.
"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Minson told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
