G.o.D. Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Grays

Tonga G.o.D. starter Adhipa Vemireddy was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Georgia Grays, 5-3. Tonga reliever Joachim Doucet picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Joe Kearns shouldered the loss. The G.o.D. raised their record to 21-28.

The G.o.D. got a big at-bat from third baseman Billy Joel. For the game, Joel went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Tonga a 5-3 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Joel told reporters after the game.
