Youngstown withstood an impressive performance by Biloxi catcher Brian Hawkins to defeat the Bullets, 9-8, at The Sand Dune. Hawkins went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Josh Butler earned the win for Youngstown. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 3-4. Zenzo Yokoyama notched his 3rd save in 5 chances.
