| Republic Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Mustangs | The So Cal Republic went home winners at McNichols Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Dan Garcia. Garcia silenced the Mile High Mustangs, enabling So Cal to grab the 2-1 win. So Cal reliever Tony Bacon picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Amirtharaj Nagaraja shouldered the loss. The Republic bumped their record to 30-20 with this latest triumph.
The Republic got a big at-bat from designated hitter Zeus Mayhem. For the game, Mayhem went 1 for 4. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 37th hit of the season gave So Cal a 2-1 lead.
"Dan did a tremendous job," said So Cal manager Adrián Carne.
