| Hackers Fall to .500 After Loss to Monarchs | The Marysville Monarchs got a stellar performance from pitcher Roger Katz, who handcuffed the Silicon Valley offense en route to a 4-1 win at Mitts Fieldhouse. Marysville leads the RCLAA Gene Mauch Division by 12 games.
Jesus Gres hit a run-scoring double off Dave Gershenson in the bottom of the second, which put the Monarchs in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Gres had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Roger was pounding the zone," said Marysville manager Cohen Brouillette.
