| Marauders Win at Sandy Springs, 3-1 | The Bradenton Marauders defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 3-1, in TMLAA action at The Coliseum, with Bradenton pitcher Dean Archer named player of the game. The winning pitcher was Archer, now 10-11. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Mario Michaca, credited with the save, is now 28 for 38 in save opportunities.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from first baseman Jeffrey Lyons. For the game, Lyons was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Bradenton a 1-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Archer said after the game.
