Bristol first baseman Igor Shunin earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times. Bristol reliever Bobby Rodriguez picked up the win to move to 7-6. Brodie Juhl suffered the loss. Even with the win, the Robins have a dismal 49-95 record.
Early in the game, third baseman Toshihisa Higgins had a bases-clearing double for Bristol. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Robins on top, 3-0.
