| Ducks Come Back Late, Nip Tune-Ups | The Long Island Ducks beat the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 7-6, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Long Island catcher Vincent Robinson earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Lance Robinson converted his 1st save in 4 tries. Long Island is now 68-76.
Robinson had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch slider from Zenzo Yokoyama, he banged a 2-run single to left, giving the Ducks a 7-5 lead. It was the 92nd hit of the year for Robinson.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager John Cook.
