Hopgood Helps Wolverines Run Win Streak to 7

The Wichita Wolverines downed the Bristol Robins, 13-4, at Ashton Gate. Bill Hopgood led the way, going 2-for-3 for Wichita. John Hensley got the win, improving to 8-9. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The last-place Robins have dropped 5 straight games.

Hopgood had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Wolverines went on to win.

"I like our mindset right now," said Wichita manager Chris Carpenter.
