Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Vaughan Bradley, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Tim Carson was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts. Curt Hargrave converted his 3rd save in 3 tries.
Ed Noel went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks for San Antonio. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jesse Lay. It was his 55th walk of the season.
