| Rams Fall Short, 3-2, at Cincinnati | Cincinnati rode a decent outing from starter Ivan Cortez to victory over the Frisco Rams at The Studio. The final score was 3-2. Cortez went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 11. His record improves to 1-0. Ismael Mejia, credited with the save, is now 6 for 10 in save opportunities.
Rob Lucas had a big run-scoring triple for the Snaps in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Cincinnati leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Larry Sentner and stroked the triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Snaps ahead, 2-0.
"We were in it," said Frisco manager Will Bartlett. "We just didn't score enough runs."
The Snaps bumped their record to 70-70 with this latest triumph.
