| Hornets Prevail, 4-2, Over Dallas | The Eureka Hornets defeated the Dallas Texans, 4-2, at The Nest. Eureka catcher Carlos Minchala was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Victor Bustos earned the save for Eureka, his 1st of the year. The Texans, at 21-28, have lost 4 straight games.
Minchala had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Aurelien Bonello, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Hornets a 4-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Minchala.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Minchala.
