| Esparza Lifts Black Bears to 8-6 Win | The Fraser Valley Black Bears beat the Madison Beehive, 8-6, at The Stetson Bowl. Fraser Valley designated hitter Alex Esparza earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The first-place Black Bears, at 79-58, now lead their division by 12 games.
The Black Bears got a big at-bat from left fielder Connor Archer. For the game, Archer went 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs. In the bottom of the eighth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 6th triple of the season gave Fraser Valley a 7-6 lead.
