Rats Rally For Late Win Over Storm Troopers

The Rats had to overcome a fine performance from San Antonio pitcher Héctor Bello to grab a 6-4 win at The Clone Army. Bello allowed 2 earned runs over 7 innings. Mike Allamon picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-3. T.J. Hurd was tagged with the loss. Juan Bravo got the save, his 4th in 5 chances.

The Rats got a big at-bat from first baseman Brian Arms. For the game, Arms was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Rock River a 5-4 lead.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Arms.

Rock River, now 67-70, holds third place in the TMLAA Bruce Bochy Division.
