Beetlecats Bang Out 9-7 Win Versus Silicon Valley

The inspired effort of Silicon Valley center fielder Luis Colón was not enough to prevent a 9-7 loss to the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. Colón went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. The third-place Beetlecats now have a 8-game winning streak.

Had Teruo Ono not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ono hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Beetlecats.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ono.
