| Marauders Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Spokane | The Bradenton Marauders picked up a win at The Field at Bradenton, knocking off the Spokane Bulldogs, 6-3. Starting pitcher Cory Roberts, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Roberts went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 10-11. Bradenton, now 60-78, holds last place in the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from right fielder Luis Mesa. For the game, Mesa was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Bradenton a 3-1 lead.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Mesa.
