| Red Bulls Topple Shamrocks with Late Rally | Riverside starter Javier Figueroa pitched effectively against the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field. The left-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Ramon Trinidad converted his 24th save in 27 tries. Riverside goes to 77-60. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.
Riverside used the timely hitting of John Tharpe to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Red Bulls on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We did a lot of things right," said Tharpe.
