| Snaps Lose to Black Bears in Walk Off | In a low-scoring clash between Fraser Valley and Cincinnati, pitcher Tommy Forbush was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Fraser Valley in the 2-1 win. The first-place Black Bears, at 77-57, now lead their division by 10 games.
The Black Bears got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Stephen Patty. For the game, Patty went 1 for 1. In the bottom of the 14th, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 137th hit of the season gave Fraser Valley a 2-1 lead.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Fraser Valley field general Tom Klein.
