| Robins Get Past Long Island for 9-8 Win | The Bristol Robins powered past the Long Island Ducks, 9-8, at Ashton Gate. Carlos Arellano went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, to lead the charge. Arturo Mercado, credited with the win, is now 4-8. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Even with the win, the Robins have a dismal 43-89 record.
Bristol took a 9-8 lead on Brian Wild's 10th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Long Island pitcher Lance Robinson in the bottom of the ninth.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Arellano said.
