| Beetlecats CF Moreno 3-5 in Win | It was a fun time at Bloomfield Road, where the Spokane Bulldogs and Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats tangled.
Getting a good performance from center fielder Marcos Moreno, the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Spokane Bulldogs, 8-2. Moreno was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Beetlecats. Kevin Lynn earned his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Moreno had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-2 fastball from Aaron Burrell, he banged a bases-clearing double to right, giving the Beetlecats a 5-2 lead. It was the 8th double of the year for Moreno.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Moreno told the Buzzard's Bay Today.
Buzzard's Bay now owns a record of 67-63.
