| Bessinger Shows Off, Hits for Cycle | Reagan Bessinger was hard to stop but his Riverside Red Bulls were not.
The Rock River Rats overcame a cycle from Bessinger to take a 10-9 victory over the Red Bulls at Red Bull Stadium today.
"It feels good for me, but it would have felt even better if we had won that ballgame," Bessinger told the press corps. "I still enjoy it, but I would've liked to win the game, too."
He cracked 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 5 RBI and 2 runs scored. Although his team lost, the Red Bulls center fielder will still get his place in the record books.
Reagan Bessinger singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Matt Hoffman in the 8th.
This season in 70 games Bessinger is batting .277 with 9 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 37 times. |
