| Hellcats Get Road Win, 4-1 | Jacksonville and Bradenton duked it out at The Field at Bradenton and the Hellcats came out victorious.
The Jacksonville Hellcats got a strong performance from pitcher Ryan Desmond, who stymied the Bradenton offense en route to a 4-1 win at The Field at Bradenton. Desmond, the winner, moves to 2-5. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Jason Aves converted his 5th save in 9 tries.
The Hellcats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Renie Burgess. For the game, Burgess went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Jacksonville a 1-0 lead.
