| Marauders Stay Hot, Beat Pioneers | It was a fun time at Legends Park, where the Vancouver Pioneers and Maple Marauders tangled.
The Maple Marauders racked up a win at Legends Park, bumping off the Vancouver Pioneers, 8-1. Norbert Philips, who started for Maple, pitched effectively for his team. Maple, at 5-0, is off to a blistering start.
Tony Kruger aided the Maple cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
"I believe in our guys," said Maple skipper Davey Morris. "I like the energy they're playing with."
