| Red Bulls Prevail, 7-5, Over Jacksonville | The Riverside Red Bulls overcame a good performance by Jacksonville left fielder Wil Arechiga to knock off Jacksonville, 7-5, at Red Bull Stadium. Arechiga was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Riverside reliever Ramon Trinidad picked up the win, upping his record to 4-7. Joost Evers absorbed the loss. The first-place Red Bulls raised their record to 66-57.
Had Cruz Maceira not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Maceira hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 7-5, in favor of the Red Bulls.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Maceira. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
