| Santoyo Goes Wild, But Ducks Win | Spokane designated hitter Jorge Santoyo was sensational. He was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Long Island beat the Bulldogs, 9-8. Santoyo was named the player of the game despite the loss. The winner was Long Island reliever Lance Robinson, now 2-1. The loser was Sadao Matsunaga. Josh Huntsman got the save, his 13th in 16 chances.
Louis Molloy drew 3 walks in 5 plate appearances for Long Island. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 7-7 tie with a run-scoring walk off John Benefield. It was his 20th walk of the season.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Molloy said after the game.
The win boosts the Ducks to 55-67. The loss puts the Bulldogs at 58-63.
