| Bulldogs Need Extras to Top Ducks | The Spokane Bulldogs beat the Long Island Ducks, 7-5, at Long Island Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman A.J. Attwood, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Spokane reliever Kyle Lavole was credited with the win, to go to 5-4. Joe Schrock took the loss for Long Island. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 58-62.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the 11th, Bobby Bell drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Bulldogs took the lead, 6-5.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Bell said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
