| Victory Pushes Vesuvius Record to 65-53 | The Cape Verde Vesuvius defeated the Biloxi Bullets, 7-3, at Conduit Caverns. Cape Verde designated hitter Danny Frampton was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Danny Morales picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-2. He struck out 5 in 5.1 innings. The Vesuvius bumped their record to 65-53 with this latest triumph.
The Vesuvius got a big at-bat from second baseman Juan Estevez. For the game, Estevez went 1 for 4 with a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Cape Verde a 3-1 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Estevez told the Cape Verde Times.
