Late Rally by Wolverines Secures Win

The Wolverines faced a stiff challenge from Madison pitcher Leon Green, but persevered to claim a win at Howling Park. The final score was 3-2. Green went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Joel Stapleton got credit for the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The Wolverines, at 68-54, have now won 4 straight.

Cory Doucette was the walk-off hero for Wichita. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wolverines first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
