Santana Helps Cornhuskers Run Win Streak to 3

DeKalb catcher Leo Santana was instrumental in his team's 10-2 win over the Rock River Rats. Santana went 2-3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cornhuskers. Jose Acosta got the win, improving to 11-4. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 8 and walking 2. The Cornhuskers bumped their record to 63-57 with this latest triumph.

Santana had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Cornhuskers went on to win.

"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Will Hunt.
