| Garcia Now 9-6 After Subduing Robins | The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Bristol Robins, 6-1, in RCLAA action at Ashton Gate, with Buzzard's Bay pitcher Anton Garcia named player of the game. The Beetlecats bumped their record to 58-56 with this latest triumph.
Garcia, a native of Calle Blancos, Costa Rica, was dealing all game. He kept Bristol hitters off-balance, while giving the Beetlecats 7.2 quality innings. Garcia threw 106 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 8.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Garcia said after the game.
